HS2 moves first huge Delta Junction viaduct section over M42/M6 link road
18 Feb 2024- An 84 metre, 300 tonne steel viaduct section has been moved into place at HS2’s Delta Junction in 11.5 hours
- This is the first section of two 158 metre viaducts which will take high speed trains over the M42/M6 link roads in North Warwickshire

Sähëlï Hub project becomes third recipient of HS2 community funding in Washwood Heath
13 Feb 2024- HS2 awards £75,000 to Sähëlï Hub in Washwood Heath to support group-based sports activities.

- Funding for the local Birmingham project takes total HS2 community funding for the Washwood Heath area to £225,000.

Timelapse footage shows M42 bridge demolition by HS2 contractors
12 Feb 2024- Timelapse footage and photos show demolition experts from Solihull-based firm Armac removing a 4,000 tonne bridge over the M42
- The 20-strong team carried out the 24/7 operation in 52 hours, ahead of schedule
- One 100 tonne excavator and seven 50 tonne excavators were used to demolish the 400 metre long bridge over the motorway
