HS2 Ltd has today (Wednesday 24 June) revealed the names of the construction firms in the running to build Birmingham Curzon Street station – the high-speed rail project’s landmark city centre terminus.

HS2’s new landmark Curzon Street station in Birmingham, set to be one of the most environmentally-friendly railway stations in the world, has been given planning permission by Birmingham City Council.

Archaeologists working on the HS2 Curzon Street station site in Birmingham have reached a major milestone by completing the archaeological excavation of the 19th-century burial ground.

• Six month project to clear 42,000m² site completed - with 98% of material reused or recycled
• The Victoria Road Crossover Box, near to Old Oak Common in west London, will allow HS2 trains to switch tracks underground
