HS2 today began the search for a specialist contractor to deliver platform edge doors for the new high speed railway’s Old Oak Common and Interchange stations.

Pupils from Chipping Warden Primary Academy enjoyed a different start to the school day with a ‘site safari tour’ of HS2’s construction sites.

• ‘Great British Railway Journeys’ to feature HS2’s first completed tunnel in Warwickshire 
• Journalist, broadcaster and former politician Michael Portillo visited HS2’s Long Itchington Wood site to film inside the tunnel
