HS2 Ltd has today announced that Laing O’Rourke Delivery Limited will build HS2’s new Interchange Station in Solihull, at the heart of Britain’s new high speed rail network, set to bring economic growth to the West Midlands economy.

• The Solihull-based Community Interest Company (CIC) offers outdoor education programmes aimed at promoting mental health and improving self esteem in young people and adults.
• The funding will contribute towards the enhancement of green spaces at Smith’s Wood, making the outdoor learning space more accessible to the wider community.

University students will boost their skills, experience and income this summer thanks to a new paid placement scheme being delivered by HS2’s construction partner, Balfour Beatty VINCI.

• Since 2017, HS2 Ltd has now funded over 200 local community and business projects through the Community & Environment Fund (CEF) and Business & Local Economy Fund (BLEF).
• Over £12m in CEF & BLEF funding has now been awarded to local community projects and businesses that are impacted by the construction of Britain’s new high speed railway.
