Exhibition panels charting the ancient history of Coleshill from Bronze Age to the medieval period unearthed by HS2 archaeologists have gone on display at Coleshill Town Hall.

• A disused bridge near Saltley in Birmingham has been safely demolished by HS2’s main works civils contractor Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV)
• Over 685m3 of concrete, 165 tonnes of reinforcement and 250 tonnes of structural steel were removed by precision techniques over four weekends

 HS2 Ltd today shortlisted bidders to become the Phase 2a Design and Delivery Partner (DDP) for the new section of Britain’s high speed rail network, connecting the West Midlands and Crewe.

• HS2’s Long Itchington Wood tunnel boring machine (TBM) named ‘Dorothy’ after Dorothy Hodgkin, who in 1964 became the first British woman to win the Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
