08 Jan 2025- 120 colossal beams installed on a 14,500-tonne box structure which will carry HS2 under the A46 Kenilworth Bypass

Kenilworth’s new swimming pools to receive a welcome enhancement thanks to HS2 grant
18 Dec 2024- Funding of £75,000 has been awarded to Warwick District Council from HS2’s Community & Environment Fund
- The grant will go towards developing a new outdoor space as part of a multi-million-pound redevelopment of Abbey Fields Swimming Pool
- To date, just over £3.5 million from HS2’s combined community and business funds has been awarded to schemes near to HS2’s route in the West Midlands

HS2 motorway works completed to prepare for new M42 ‘twin box’ build
16 Dec 2024- HS2 engineers worked around the clock to complete essential preparation work on a section of the M42, finishing the work five hours earlier than planned
- Building work will now begin on the 300m bridge structure that will carry the high-speed railway over the motorway
- The construction method will use pre-fabricated hollow building blocks to create a ‘twin box’ structure, cutting construction time and reducing disruption to road users
