HS2 installs new modular bridge over M42 in just two days
09 Aug 2020Work to install a 65-metre bridge, spanning the width of the M42, was completed in just two days and ahead of schedule as the motorway reopened to road users today (9 August) 22 hours earlier than planned. The works near Interchange Station move Solihull a step closer to the arrival of HS2, Britain’s new low carbon high speed railway.

Solihull wildlife project benefits from HS2 Community Fund
05 Aug 2020Community groups in North Solihull are set to benefit from a £29,960 grant for the Meriden Ark Project (MAP). The initiative will support users of Meriden Park and Meriden Adventure Playground to design and create at least four sustainable wildlife havens in their local park and surrounding area.

HS2’s ‘super-hub’ Old Oak Common construction site handed over to contractors Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA
03 Aug 2020Construction of HS2’s West London interchange station, set to be the UK’s largest newly-built railway station, has reached a new milestone as the Station Construction Partner, Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA joint venture (BBVS), took possession of the whole station site on Monday 27 July 2020. The handover marks the start of the next phase of work at Old Oak Common, where a brand new 14 platform high-speed station will be built.
