The new HS2 station, to be built in Solihull and near the NEC in the West Midlands, has become the first railway station globally to achieve the BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ certification – a measure of sustainability for new and refurbished buildings – putting it in the top 1% of buildings in the UK for eco-friendly credentials.

HS2 and its Euston early works contractor CSJV have teamed up with cutting edge smart tech company Eave to take major steps towards eliminating work-related hearing damage.

The number of community and business groups to receive awards from the HS2 community and business funds has topped over 100.

The search for contractors to design, deliver and maintain almost 300 state-of-the-art lifts and escalators for HS2’s four major new stations began today.

The Department for Transport  has given approval for HS2 Ltd to issue Notice to Proceed to the four Main Works Civils Contractors working on the project.
