HS2 Minister Andrew Stephenson is hosting an online event for small and medium sized businesses in Scotland to demonstrate just how simple it is to register an interest in joining HS2’s supply chain.

• HS2 Ltd releasing over 250 packages of work for small and medium-sized businesses in the UK, worth millions of pounds

• HS2 contracts on offer range from £4,000 to £158m

• Companies are encouraged to register to attend virtual ‘Meet the Contractor’ events

Following the success of its first youth unemployment scheme, HS2’s construction partner for the West Midlands, Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV), is searching for more talented youngsters to join its Kickstart programme.

Pupils from three Birmingham schools and colleges dedicated to providing support for students with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND), have presented their ideas for how the design of HS2’s stations and trains can meet the needs of passengers with a disability.
