HS2 launches national vote to name Warwickshire Tunnel Boring Machine
09 Jun 2021- The search starts today to find the name for the 2,000 tonne Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) that will dig under Long Itchington Wood in Warwickshire.
- The British public are asked to choose from three shortlisted names nominated by people in Warwickshire.
- The TBM will launch later this year and start its one year journey to create a one-mile twin bore tunnel to preserve ancient woodland above ground.

HS2 launches Interchange Station construction contract opportunity
07 Jun 2021- HS2 Ltd kicks off search for construction partner for the station at the heart of the UK’s new high speed rail network.
- 1,000 jobs will be supported by the contract, worth up to £370m.
- Regeneration around the station will support 30,000 jobs, up to 3,000 new homes and 70,000m2 of commercial space.
